Town Planning

Town Planning is a separate, additional process from working drawings.

Town Planning can often be a confusing part of the building process. As part of our service, any planning overlays will be explored prior to our initial consultation.

Our fees include a pre application meeting with council which you are welcome and encouraged to attend. This allows us address any potential issues at an early stage.

Other consultants:

Generally no other consultants are required at this stage. However, should it be a complex job it may be productive to obtain the services of a Town Planner, to which SKT Building Designs will suggest should such an instance arise.

I employed Shannon Treloar at SKT Building Designs to work on a subdivision for me where we were required to provided architectural plans, and building reports to the council for the purposes of obtaining permits for the subdivision. Shannon took care of everything for me. The Council were quite picky and difficult to deal with until Shannon took over.
